2012 nice to meet you

Hi lovelies,
Welcome to 2012..how does it feel? I've been waiting for this year to roll around for the past 7 months, and in case ya'll haven't been keeping track as closely as i have...my boy comes home in 11 days, thats right 11.  and to say that i am a little excited, would be a far cry from the truth...im like thrilled to the highest degree!

I welcomed in this new year far less extravagantly than i had imagined but it was none the less just as wonderful! Instead of going to a party surrounded by lots of people, loud noises, and craziness, i spent a quiet evening with 4 of my favorite people....2 of which are under the age of 5. We spent the evening sipping on sparkling cider, lounging in yoga pants, laughing, and watching movies. After a while we realized that maybe, just maybe we were getting close to hitting the Oh so anticipated 12:00....so we looked and realized that we missed it by 20 whole minutes....we looked at each other, half heartedly said happy new year....then continued on watching The Help. It was a very chill evening, but it made my heart happy...to enter in this new year with some of my favorite people, and just relax!

I don't know what this new year holds, but i am excited...im excited to see what the lord is going to do in my life, and those around me. Im excited to see our new church building project come to fruition..to see it filled to the brim by new believers who have decided to give themselves to the lord, I'm excited for our youth that we lead every wednesday evenings.... to see their love for the jesus grow and to see them excited about the things of him, Im excited for my boy to be home, and for us to be able to be together once again. Excited to see his face and make up for lost time. I'm excited for this new journey I am on and can't wait to see how it all plays out!

I love The Help! It sounds like you had a great New Years Eve and I am excited for you that your man is coming home! My boyfriend lived across the country for a while for school, and I remember counting down the days for him to come home :) Love your blog by the way!
