This past weekend Phil and I celebrated 3 years together...yes thats right 3. Can't really believe time has flown by so fast. seems just like yesterday that this little friend of my built up the guts to spill his feelings for me...I sit here now three years later so happy he did!
While Phillip was home on his break we decided to celebrate our anniversary a few weeks early together because he wasn't going to be able to be here for the actual day. after much thought we decided to go out to dinner at one of my all time favorite restaurants Dewz in downtown Modesto. For all you local and not so local peeps...its well worth a trip. So SO SOOOO good! Dewz has a bit of sentiment behind it for me. during our first year together phillip was deployed in Iraq and we were unable to share any significant days together, one being valentines day. since we were unable to go anywhere or be together for that matter....we had a "fake" date to dewz via the phone. we both were silly and kept pretending what we would be eating as if we were actually on a date at dewz together...we made up the scenery and it was completely silly/kinda romantic in the cheesiest way possible ... this phone conversation ended up being the first time phillip told me he loved me. Ever since this, i knew i wanted to go on an ACTUAL date there. so 3 years later it finally happened.
Like always it didn't disappoint. they rolled out the red carpet and made us feel special. I ate the most delish Mahimahi (spelling?) and the Mr. ate salmon. all of which was amazing. since this place is fancy smancy the portions are smaller and we had just enough room to shove some of my all time favorite dessert into our faces....creme brûlée . burnt sugar/creme heaven. also did i mention that they gave us chocolate wine to taste. YUCK not so great, ill stick with my creme brûlée thanks.
it was nice just to finally spend a day together to celebrate us for once...since this is a not so common occurrence around here when we are both together on important dates. I'm glad we finally got to go to our special place and enjoy it together. thanks philham for being the best date I ever could ask for.

how fun! but I thought he was back for good?
He's back from Afghanistan for good but he will now be back in Texas for the year for the remainder of his contract with the army... So now He comes home every month or so when he can! Thank goodness this whole army buisiness will be done in a year !
Happy #3!!
Thanks!!
