Todays accomplishments....

The sun came streaming through my white sheet thats hanging on my window a little too early this morning (so it seemed). My thighs were burning from my attempted workout from the night before and i just did not want to get out of my oh so comfy bed....so i layed there a good 10 more minutes than i probably should have. But today, oh today, it was gonna be a good day, and it was enough incentive to pull back the covers and mosey on into my dimly lit bathroom to get ready for the day.
I had a hair appt today for the first time in 5 months. i was kinda excited about getting to sit in that nice leather chair and have someone play with my hair for 2 hours....its always quite a good experience lol. I got there....and that nice leather chair didn't let me down. Its kinda relaxing to have someone else do your hair for once ( blow drying especially which i despise doing mid summer) , and get to just sit and catch up with the gossip mags and better homes and gardens as they are so perfectly placed throughout the salon.
After i got my hurr lookin all nice , i headed down and around the corner to spend the day with my bestie Kayla. we literally ended up spending almost all day posted infront of her larger than life tv watching the show "the buried life" on netflix. that show gets me everytime...one minute im about to pee my pants from laughing to hard, and the next im getting chills and wanting to cry cause there is some touching story that moves me. Its a great show let me tell you lol. Though after realizing we had been spending too much time sitting on the couch eating more watermellon than our body weight, and watching enough Barried Life to sustain me for a lifetime, we decided we should do something with our life. We decided to make coffees and walk around Turlock's "the Greenery" and stare at all the wonderful plants and flowers the beautiful nursery has to offer...it made me want to be a great gardener someday. though i highly doubt ill ever be that motivated enough to keep this garden of mine alive and thriving. Somehow that always happens with my bright ideas. After being inspired there we decided to go to lowes because kayla decided her house needs shutters to make it look cuter (hello doesn't every house look cuter with shutters...i know) and we wanted to check out prices and such.
We ended up going to lowes and walking out without shutters...but instead paint rollers and other painting tools. somehow one thing led to another and we decided that we were going to paint her and her husbands room that evening and it was gonna be great. kayla's parents always laugh at us and say that we are Romie and Michelle, and i kinda feel as though the more we hang out....the more and more that statement is becoming true. We were awesome and busted out the whole painting proccess in a little over an hour (we only wanted to paint one wall...so it was easy). but our random idea turned out to be a great one, and their bedroom looks great. their buttery walls now have one that is a nice shade of mocha, and it makes the whole room look that much more warm and inviting. I love it. finally we munched on some cookie dough to solidify our long days work (riiigghhtt) and i headed home.
it was a day full of accomplishments...both high and low ones. I managed to get my hair done...watch too much tv....eat far too much...hang out with my best friend....all the while getting a room looking mighty fine with a brand new coat of paint. it was a good day, really. I think i needed a random day like this.
