(ya, i totally photo bombed my own picture by accident...real cute)
-this little style you see here basically starts as a waterfall braid all across the parietal ridge (aka the widest part of your head) and then continues back and forth until you have no hair or space on your head left. it ends up looking like a bunch of braids, but really its just one long continuous braid all accross the back of your head. I kind of made it up as i went but i loved the end result, and it took almost no time at all . I think I may just post a tutorial on it at some point just so I can help show you guys how to turn a really bad hair day into a pretty good one very easily.
this little braiding session i had earlier in the week inspired a little more braiding action yesterday while spending time with one of my best gal pals Jackie. What started as me just playing with her hair while she edited photos (she is a photographer),soon turned into a full on styled hair story, and i love it. For jackie we decided to go with a bohemian feel that was soft, yet really fun and sweet ,with the added touch of a partial floral crown that we picked from her moms garden. Underneath that crown is a double waterfall braid that i secured together in the middle with a hairtie, then hid the tie with another braid wrapped around. Jackie's hair is naturally really beautiful and straight, but to create a softer more tosselled look , I added some waves in her hair by loosely wrapping her hair around the barrel of a curling iron unti it created the wave that I desired. The Finished result was just what we were going for, and we has so much fun with our little impromptu shoot.
This is Jackie's son Lincoln Gray who is just the sweetest! had to put him in here!
