There are a few perks about living in our small little town, and one of these perks includes the annual " Apricot Fiesta" that our town hosts every year to commemorate our status as the Apricot Capitol of the world! Its a time when the whole town gets togehter for a weekend long party in the center of town. the streets gets blocked off... we have an awesome fireworks show....there are a million super high calorie food booths, and lots of games for the kids! oh and did i mention there is a pageant? well yes there is a pageant.
this year one of my favorite little people in my world decided to be involved in this years "Little Mr. and Mrs. Apricot Pageant" . I spent the day getting her all dolled up and prepped her look for the day. She looked so cute and I knew she was going to do amazing! and amazing she DID!
she got up on that stage and owned it and i was so proud of her! she even shared her sweet little heart for the lord in from of our whole town when she said
"Hi my name is Brynn, I am five years old, and when i grow up I want to be a Missionary", then the surprised announcer asked her why she wanted to be a missionary, and without a hitch she proudly stated " because they go around the world and tell people about Jesus". she even went on to talk about the importance of sign language for people who "can't hear too good".
I love that sweet girl right there and that childlike faith. I was so proud of her! oh and i forgot to mention SHE WON! sweet little brynn is now Patterson's Little Miss Apricot 2013.
