One of my favorite things about living smack dab in the center of california is how close we are to so many awesome places! whether you are a fan of the ocean, or forests...or rolling hills...we literally have it all! One of my favorite places to go in this wonderful state of ours is Gold country! those little hole in the wall towns that are nestled on the western region of the Seirra Nevada Mountains...two of my fave of these towns are sonora and columbia. Sonora and columbia are both wonderfully charming and full of awesome history! the buildings are old, and rugged...like most of the people you see walking around. These places are quirky and cozy and are just places i so enjoy spending time in.
One of my best friends noelle has started Homeschooling her 4 year old daughter brynn. she has been trying to take places that are both educational and fun! so when she asked me if i wanted to take a little drive up to columbia with her and her two daughters i jumped at the chance. I just so happened to be babysitting that day ...so i took sweet little natalia (the little one i babysit) along for the ride.
we had fun visiting the train museum....walking around the old streets, and seeing the horse drawn carriages! heres some pictures of our little trip! I may have had more fun taking pictures of the girls than the rest of our surroundings!
