This little life of mine: wonderful weekend

This weekend has been absolutely wonderful! It was filled with laughter....the best of friends..and lots of pampering...I mean how could it get better than that right?! my wonderful weekend started on Thursday (yeah i know its technically not the weekend yet...but thats when all these festivities started :D ) . One of my Friends Jillian is getting married at the end of March and we are so excited for her! I get to do her hair and makeup for her special day, so that will be super fun for me and i CANNOT wait to see her all put together in her pretty dress!! When someone gets married in our church we always throw them a shower...not your average households shower...but the kind of shower that you can only have when you are about to get married. the kind of shower where all the women of the church get together and shower you with undies and other pretties. It is always hilarious and lots of fun...and it becomes like a celebration of your purity. Jill's so called shower was Thursday and everyone had such a great time laughing and playing games, and hearing wise marriage advice from some of the most amazing women I get the pleasure of being around and learning from .

Friday then Rolled around and it was such a busy day! I woke up at 7:45 and rushed to my physical therapy appt. I stayed there an hour and then rushed back home in order to be back in time to do my friend Karla's hair and makeup for a wedding she was going to. I love when my friends ask me to get them all dolled up! its basically my favorite thing to do! (maybe thats why I am going to be a cosmetologist ?!) Karla looked beautiful like always! we ended up curling it and to add a little somethin somethin we did some water fall braiding around the crown .

after doing Karlas hair i drove out to Turlock to my best friends house. We decided last minute that we were going to Repaint her living room/ dining room. It was this crazy espresso/poop color before and it has needed to be changed for sometime now. Somehow me and kayla always get into projects that are over our head and this was no doubt one of those times. This "little" project ended up being 11 hours worth of painting. we thought we would be done at 7pm....we didn't end up being done till 11:00. we got to the point where we were laughing hysterically just so we didn't cry...and ended up calling our friend Phyllip for back up. So he shows up and then begins to tell us that he has absolutely no painting experience and wouldn't be much of a help. Reallly??!! we put him to work anyways and made him do all the jobs that we couldn't do anymore without crying (like painting the ceiling for the 3rd coat). Honestly it was such hard work and i think next time we will think twice before jumping blindly into such a project. Although it was hard i had such a fun time with my best friend...there was lots of singing/lauging/ mental breakdowns and now a beautifully painted new living room....which has now made it all worth it .

Now SATURDAY...yes saturday...this was the best day EVER!!! Remember how phil got me a wonderful gift certificate to go to the day spa? well saturday my mom and I had made an appt to go and spend the day getting pampered...and thats exactly what ended up happening. I felt like a straight up queen the whole day! I woke up that morning and saw that my parents were gone..a few hours later they come back home and I find that they just bought a brand new 2012 Ford explorer....this thing is ridiculously fancy inside with more gadgets than one would know what to do it. Me and mom hopped in it and headed off to the spa...it was not without a stop at starbucks of course to start the day off right. the whole 45 min drive there we played around with the car and tried to figure out all the things it did...which if you know me at all, you will know that in obsessed with cars and this would be really thrilling for me :) . we got into pleasanton early and we ended up going to lunch at Strizzies...which hello, it was DELISH! After eating we still had time to spare so we walked around super cute downtown and i got a chocolate covered strawberry, and walked around as though i was in heaven. then we went to the spa and thats really when we got to heaven. Mom and i both got a facial...a massage..and a pedicure. it was a total of 3 hours worth of pure pampering bliss. Loved every minute of it and i was sooo grateful that my boyfriend was so thoughtful to do something like that for me! Thanks philham , you are the best boy ever! we left feeling sooo relaxed and were glowing(a mix between all the moisturizers on our bodies and pure joy). we drove home and topped the day off with another starbucks to sip as we were driving. You know you had a really great day when starbucks is involved not just once but twice..can i get a witness?!
