celebrating another year of life!

hey guys...guess what..Im now currently experiencing life as a 22 year old. Not much is different...i still look like a pre teen, I'm still inches shorter than most adults, and I still sometimes live vicariously through my carefree days as a youngster(an even younger youngster than my current self). But still 22 has treated me great so far!

I have to admit this birthday was a little more special than most because i was able to spend it with my boy. For the past 2.5 years we have been together neither of us have ever been able to share our birthdays together. He was either deployed to Iraq....or i was in hawaii(whoops sorry phil....or something came up, i like to blame it on the Army :) . But this year, even though he is currently deployed in Afghanistan, his R&R was able to fall on my birthday! It was such a treat....it was probably more exciting for me because i made I'm tag along with me to my oober girlie day filled with lots of yummy treats..and lots of shopping. I tried to make it up to him by looking at some semi-manly stuff while out in about...but still he was a trooper and let me do my birthday girlie thing.

That evening we headed out to dinner with my family, phil, and 2 of my close friends. We ate at one of my favorite restaurants called Galletos in downtown modesto. Delish as always! it was so nice to get to spend the day with all the people i love most and celebrate another year that the lord has blessed me with! cannot wait to see what this year brings.

P.S....Phil, you've earned a gold medal for beating me at the "be there for one of our birthdays contest" ....i would like to be mad at you for your awesome factor, and my lack there of....but now every time i look in the mirror and see diamonds in my ears, and really awesome skin(thanks clarisonic) i feel convicted, and change my attitude! haha dangit
