For the love of fall...again

tuesday's are usually my days where i stay at home or around town and just get done what i have been putting off from the week before. it usually involves putting away clean laundry and vaccuming the floors. mondays i go toa college group bible study and while i was there...our oh so lovely hostess ms. whitney byrd had this amazing wreath hanging above their fireplace! It looked like this big fluffy ruffled goodness that went around in a circle. I loved it...and asked her where she got it. come to find out it was one that she made...with none other than those recycled coffee filters in order to give it that soft brown look she was going for! Genius! So when my stay at home tuesday rolled around (yesterday) i knew that i was going to attempt to make one for myself.
Because i am an avid coffee drinker i already had a ton of filters at home. all i needed was a sturdy base to anchor the filters to. ...so i went to
the dollar store and picked myself up one of those twisted branch looking wreaths for around 50 cents and i was good to go!. i came home and got
started. basically all you need is coffee filters....a pencil with an erase...some type of wreath...and a hot glue gun.
here is a tutorial here that i found online right here to show you all how to do it...i am not the best at explaining instructions, so i thought this would be easier, and its basically how i did it! (to make it easier i use a pencil and fold the filters in
to the pencil for the desired look i wanted ..i then put a little dab of hot glue on the bottom of the filter and pressed it onto the wreath with the pencil....this worked better for me).

it was a very simple process it just took a little bit
of time because there are so many filters to be attached! but when it was all said and done i absolutely love the way it turned out! it looks
so great hanging above my bed. Mine looks a little wintery because i used all white filters...but it looks nice and crisp against my all white bedroom. loveee
