the civil wars

I've been waiting to see The Civil Wars for some time now. its a duo comprised of Joy Williams and John Paul White and they are amazing. Although i was super excited to see them i never would have imagined how good they were live.
Joy is quirky and cute while J.P. is a southern gentlemen with the mysterious way about it that reminded me of Johnny Depp ( he also totally looked like him as well)
Their bluegrass/folky sound made my heart happy and did good to my soul. I also give them brownie points for not only being amazingly talented but they are also genuinely sweet people. joy came over to me right after the set and greeted me with a hug rather than a handshake, (we were standing in the front row only like 3 feet from them the whole set, and i think she noticed me singing along to all their songs haha) and took the time to talk with us for a good while. J.P. also came up to us, shook all of our hands and talked to us all about california, for it was this Alabamans first time being here. All i can say is that i left this show not being dissapointed in any sense, and could have listened to plenty more of their songs.
if you havent checked them out before i highly reccommend it!! http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#!/thecivilwars
